A virtual showroom is a web-based space where buyers explore and compare your full product range in interactive 3D. It runs in a browser, on any device. Nothing to install, nothing to put on your head.
It exists because for complex equipment the first sales conversation usually happens too early. The buyer doesn't know yet which model fits, so the first two calls go to explaining. A showroom moves that explaining to a link the buyer can open at eleven at night.
It starts with what you already have. Engineering has CAD for every product you sell. We prepare that data for real-time use so it loads fast in a browser, then place the models in a space buyers can move through: open a machine up, put two side by side, read the specs, see a truck in an aisle at the right width.
The part nobody sees decides whether it works: streaming real-time 3D to an ordinary laptop in a procurement office, on that office's connection, with nothing to install. Done properly, the buyer never thinks about it.
Behind it sit analytics and, if you want, your CRM. You see which products get opened and which get skipped, and sales knows who has been looking at what.
People use the words interchangeably. They aren't the same thing. A configurator goes deep on one product: options, colours, specs. A showroom gives context across the whole range, like walking into your physical showroom.
